AFI (American Film Institute) 100 Best Films List

American Film Institute for conservation of the art of American films, in 1997, released the list of 100 best American films of all time and planned to release such list every 10 years. The second list was released in 2007 along with other lists of 100 bests in different categories such as acting, musicals, songs, thrills, etc. Unfortunately the list which is limited to American films, misses the honours of the filmmakers or directors and has no such list, though has inappropriate lists such as 100 cheers, laughs, heroes and villains, etc. Hopefully next year in 2017, in third edition of 100 lists of AFI, we will see a list of film directors that any film is mostly owed to them! Here we limit ourselves to the 100 lists of best films and actors:
